This year is tough,
but we've got this.
School is going to be online in Guilford County for at least the first five weeks of the school year. *deep breath* Don't panic! We're here to help.
Our BLAZE Enrichment camp is an all-day small group childcare option that will provide your child a place to work on their online classes, socialize (from a distance!) with other children, and have a break from being at home.
We are following all state mandated requirements for social distancing which includes our sanitizing procedures and all aspects of how we conduct business.

BLAZE Frequently Asked Questions
When and Where is the camp?
BLAZE Enrichment Camp will be tentatively open from August 17th to October 17th. This all depends on decisions made by Governor Cooper. We are open on Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.
Is this in person or online?
Enrichment Camp will be offered in person at our dance studio, however, we are following all social distancing guidelines and the safety of our staff and families is our number one priority.
How are you keeping the students safe? What about face masks and social distancing etc.?
We are working hard to minimize any risk to our staff and students. We are following all social distancing guidelines and the reccomendations from the CDC. We have policies in place to minimize the risk, however, we can assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our studio cleaned, sanitized, and with as little traffic as possible.
Why Are You Doing This?
We understand the need for safe childcare in our community. We also want students to have the opportunity to have a live person with them that can dedicate the time to help them through their online classes to ensure they don't fall behind.
What about virtual learning? Is this the same as homeschooling?
We will be providing support and helping your child complete work assigned by their normal classroom teacher / school. We are not a homeschool and do not provide our own curriculum or school credit. We can, however, ensure your child completes their online work, provide tutoring services, and help them stay motivated.
Can I drop my child off for one day or less than a week?
We offer limited drop-in spots at $20 per day. This is space permitting. The camp is limited to 15 students total. You must call ahead to request a drop in space. Contact Thomasina at (336) 763-4582.
How much is this camp?
Full time care (M-F, 8:00am to 5:30pm) is $70/week with a registration fee of $15.
What will they do at camp?
They will complete their virtual school work, have lunch and snack with their peers (parent provides all food), complete group crafts/activities/games, and recieve dance classes (or alternative physical activity) as part of their camp day.
Do you provide food?
No, we do not provide or prepare meals. Parents are requried to send campers with a lunch and 2 snacks daily. A microwave is available to reheat meals if necessary. Don't forget to eat breakfast!
Do you accept DSS Vouchers or any public assistance?
No, we can only accept cash or debit/credit cards online or in person.
Are there field trips?
No, there are no field trips due to COVID-19.
What ages do you accept?
We accept children from 5 - 12.
Is this the same as daycare?
BLAZE Enrichment camp is an opportunity for your school aged child to get help completing online schoolwork using their own device. While we do have the option to keep your child for the entire day, it is not meant to be a daycare or babysitting. Our main goal is to help your child study, recieve tutoring, and keep working through virtual learning.
