Understanding Our Dress Code

For dance class, a dress code is an important part of a dancer's training. It's not just about looking uniform; it's about safety, discipline, and helping students learn effectively.

Why a Dress Code is Important

Safety: Baggy clothing can be a tripping hazard or get caught on a partner or piece of equipment. Form-fitting attire allows instructors to see the dancer's alignment and posture, helping them correct form and prevent injuries.

Discipline and Focus: A dress code helps create a sense of discipline and prepares students for a focused learning environment. When students arrive ready and dressed for class, it signals that they are serious about their training and respectful of the art form.

Unity: A dress code fosters a sense of community among students. When everyone is dressed similarly, it reduces distractions and allows dancers to focus on their movements and their peers without the pressure of wearing trendy or expensive outfits.

What My Dancer Needs

Dance Bag: All students are REQUIRED to carry a dance bag to class to store items. Water bottles are acceptable. Hygiene products are encouraged for all dancers.
